Because of this, ILRC strives to find the best candidates to implement and assist in making our programs and services successful.

Upon hire, all applicants must provide ILRC with valid proof of United States residency and/or valid proof of eligibility for employment in the United States according to guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service. Additionally, all successful applicants must register with Family Care Safety Registry with a clean background check OR have an approved Good Cause Waiver. All employees are required to pass CPR/First Aid course.

Consumer Directed Services Personal Care Attendant

The Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. is seeking Personal Care Attendants in Callaway, Camden, Cole, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan and Osage Counties who will work for persons with disabilities in their homes. You will perform basic, everyday tasks to help keep the persons with disabilities in their homes, living independently.  Examples of tasks include: cooking, housekeeping, bathing assistance, personal care assistance and transportation.

All applications will be placed on a list and given to persons with disabilities on the Consumer Directed Services program.  In the Consumer Directed Services program, the Consumer is the employer and will contact you for an interview.  You must be able to pass a background check through the Family Care Safety Registry.  If there are findings on your background you may apply for a Good Cause Waiver.  You will not be eligible for hire until the background screening is clear or the Good Cause Waiver is approved.  After hire you will have 90 days to complete First Aid/CPR training.

Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. will provide training, oversight and payroll, but will not be your employer.
