Why Donate

ILRC is a 501(c)3 corporation extending benefits delivered direct to consumers-with-disabilities door whom would otherwise not have their needs met, to some who transportation can be an obstacle, and for some who exposure to common illnesses such as colds and flu can potentially be devastating.

Purchasing toilet paper, shampoo, and laundry detergent or purchasing medicines for a combination of disabilities including stroke, arthritis, diabetes type II, and heart issues can be a difficult choice month-to-month. One 61-year-old consumer states “being able to access ILRC Care Closet enables them to put the money that they would have spent for personal care items and cleaning supplies towards medicine for a combination of disabilities noted above.” A 70-year old consumer dealing with a spinal cord injury states that their “food stamps don’t even buy them enough food to live on each month so the ILRC Care Closet provides household and personal items that they can’t afford to purchase” for themselves.

Thank you so much for considering additional ways to demonstrate your commitment and support for ILRC. Giving starts with you so please make a positive impact today. We’ve created this web page to help you determine the way to take action that is right for you and your goals.

Other Consumer Testimonials

“All programs are very helpful to individuals with disabilities.”

“I couldn’t get out of the house for a year. ILRC did a good job (building an access ramp) and I can hold on with both hands from side-to-side. Now I can go out when I want and I no longer need to make use of my walker to do so (as the access ramp enables) me to utilize my cane. It’s wonderful to me that I’m not isolated.”

“I have only recently become a disabled person utilizing services. But I appreciate all of the resources available through ILRC.”

“People from your agency are genuine and kind.”

No matter which way that you choose, you’ll be helping ILRC make a positive impact on persons with disabilities in your community, from youth to seniors and in-between.
