Independent Living Skills Training and Educational Opportunities

ILRC’s Independent Living Specialists (ILS) are available to work one-on-one with interested consumers on various skills. Independent Living Skills Training is designed to match the needs of each consumer and might include budgeting, cooking, community resources, reading, and other areas critical to your independent lifestyle.

Independent Living Specialists will schedule sessions to work toward your individual goals and will work with you to attain those goals. In some cases where the ILS is not able to help you attain your goals they will work with you to find additional resources to aid in your achievement. If you are interested in learning more about Independent Living Skills Training please contact ILRC at 877-627-0400 or 573-556-0400 and ask to speak to your ILS Case manager.

ILRC also offers various educational opportunities throughout the year. Past topics have included: Emergency Preparedness: Ready in 3, Budgeting, How to Communicate with your Healthcare Professional, and Hiring, Firing and Supervising Attendants.

If you have requests for future topics please contact Melinda Cardone, Program Manager at 877-627-0400, 573-556-0400 or Email Melinda.
