Services Fair is a Unique Opportunity

Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC), Missouri Rehabilitation and Employment (MORE) Group, and Capital Mall have partnered to host the 2nd Annual Services Fair. The Services Fair provides the prospect for persons with disabilities, their families and caregivers, area service providers, and the general public in the Mid-Missouri area to gain knowledge and find valuable resources in a centralized environment. This unique opportunity features approximately 50 mid-Missouri Service providers including government agencies, not-for-profits, and public agencies. Individuals have the chance to learn what services are available, determine the eligibility requirements when applicable, and learn how to access needed services. Employment options, educational / training options, energy assistance options, Veterans Affairs, Medicare Part D, ACA counseling, assistive devices, home care, residential care, hospice, income-based housing, home modifications, transportation, substance abuse, fall risk assessments, youth and senior services, trusts and grants are just a few of the many services represented.

The Services Fair will be located at Capital Mall, 3600 Country Club Drive, Jefferson City, MO from noon until 4 pm on Wednesday, October 22. There is no cost to attend the fair and an ASL interpreter will be available. Area service providers will be available throughout the wings of the mall and a variety of free or reduced cost health screenings will also be available in the Community Room. Capital Mall is on the public transit route, is accessible; and Capital Mall and the associated businesses welcome the opportunity to host this unique annual event for the benefit of the community.
